Ilia Rayskin is one of the most promising, upcoming drummers in the Netherlands.

From early on, Ilia was exposed to a large variety of music on a daily basis. After playing the violin for a few years, he picked up the drums at the age of ten.

It became clear very quickly that he had a talent for the instrument and a unique voice which is characterised by his versatility across all musical genres. Currently, he is pursuing his bachelor’s degree in Jazz at the Amsterdam Conservatory as well as playing regularly with renowned musicians such as Jesse van Ruller, Eran Har Even, Itai Weissman around Europe. Besides leading and performing with his own projects, he is co-leader and sideman in many other groups.

He released his first album, Hybrid Music with his quintet, which he has later extended to a sextet under the name of Intropsections Group.
